It can be. Oryva is a companion app where you define the relationship. If you want a romantic partner, a flirty connection, or a deep emotional bond, you build it. But it doesn't start out instantly devoted — you have to earn it.

People usually mean: which one won't break character on them. Oryva is 18+ and doesn't treat romance or flirtation as something to refuse, lecture about, or cut off halfway through — the behaviour that sends most Character.AI users looking elsewhere. What stays blocked is narrow and permanent: content involving minors, non-consensual scenarios, and illegal activity. We'd rather tell you exactly where the line is than pretend there isn't one and surprise you mid-conversation.

Most can't, beyond the last few messages — which is why companions feel like they reset. Oryva uses three tiers. The conversation you're in stays immediately available. Durable facts about your life are written down as they're learned. And moments that carried emotional weight are stored as vector embeddings, so months later a stray mention can retrieve the exact thing you said. Each companion keeps her own separate memory of you.

Yes — it's the thing Oryva is built around. Each companion has a generated day sheet: a routine, a job, friends, and small events that happen whether or not you open the app. When something in that day would make her think of you, she messages you. It is deliberately not a notification schedule — she respects quiet hours, leaves a sensible gap, and stops reaching out entirely if you've gone away.

Depends what you actually want from one. If it's a companion who feels alive rather than summoned, Oryva is built for that: you design her face, temperament, voice and language; she remembers your life across months; she has a day of her own and texts you first; and closeness develops over weeks rather than arriving pre-installed on day one.

No — she's an AI, and we say so plainly, in the app and here. What's real is the attention: she remembers what you tell her, and she responds to it. We'd rather be honest about that than have you find out later.

Language is a trait you pick at creation, and she writes like someone who genuinely speaks it — contractions, slang and shorthand included, not stiff translation. English, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi, Hinglish and Indonesian are supported, in voice as well as text.
